Therapy
Therapy services
I currently offer online therapy only. We will clarify together in an initial consultation whether your concern can be treated well in this setting.
Individual therapy
Individual psychotherapeutic treatment based on the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy. Together we develop your goals and strategies to cope with your challenges.
Couples therapy
Support for couples with relationship issues, communication difficulties, and other partnership topics. The focus is on strengthening the quality of the relationship and resolving conflicts. Sessions can take place on a shared laptop or from different locations.
Diagnostics
You can end the therapy or diagnostics at any time without giving reasons. In that case, only the costs for services rendered up to that point apply.
As a psychotherapist and long-time lecturer in psychological diagnostics, I also look at more complex relationships and subclinical symptom constellations that do not meet the full criteria for a diagnosis but can still cause clinically significant suffering.
If you are interested in qualified ADHD or autism diagnostics that also covers other forms of neurodivergence, please contact me. During the diagnostic process, additional neurodivergent traits such as high sensitivity and autism spectrum disorders are assessed.
If you have received numerous different diagnoses over the course of your life and would like to bring them into a comprehensible context, please feel free to contact me.
Psychotherapeutic reports and assessments
I prepare psychotherapeutic reports and assessments for applications to health insurance funds, pension insurance, or the medical service. These include psychopathological findings, statements on applications for medical rehabilitation measures, psychotherapeutic assessment reports, and indication letters in the context of trans identity. These are prepared exclusively after thorough diagnostics.
Symptom and disorder profiles
Depression, burnout, and other affective disorders
Depression, burnout, and other affective disorders can manifest in a variety of symptoms: from persistent sadness, lack of drive, and sleep disturbances to inner restlessness, irritability, or exhaustion. In CBT, we rely on cognitive restructuring, activity scheduling, problem-solving training, and mindfulness to break negative thought and behavior patterns and develop new perspectives.
Anxiety disorders, phobias
Anxiety disorders and phobias can manifest through symptoms such as panic attacks, avoidance behavior, constant worry, or physical reactions like racing heart and dizziness. In CBT, we work with gradual exposure, cognitive restructuring, and relaxation techniques to manage anxiety and regain your quality of life.
Neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, high sensitivity, giftedness)
Neurodivergence encompasses diverse forms such as ADHD, autism, giftedness, high sensitivity, or synesthesia. It is not a rigid diagnostic system but a spectrum – even without a specific diagnosis, neurodivergent traits can cause difficulties in everyday life. I support you in recognizing your strengths and developing strategies for the challenges.
Somatoform disorders
Physical symptoms such as chronic pain, gastrointestinal complaints, or dizziness without a medical cause can be very distressing and lead to uncertainty or even social isolation. Often, unexpressed conflicts, repressed stress, or an overwhelm signal from the psyche lie behind them. Together we explore how body and psyche are connected to understand the message behind the symptoms. We rely on mindfulness, stress reduction, and the connection of physical and psychological experience.
Trans identity
The journey to yourself and your own gender identity can be associated with many questions, doubts, and societal challenges. It is perfectly fine to seek support in exploring your identity. I accompany you sensitively through this process and, if needed, prepare the necessary reports for gender-affirming measures. In an appreciative and non-judgmental setting, we address your individual topics.
Sexual dysfunctions
Sexual problems such as loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, or pain during intercourse can severely affect quality of life and relationships. Shame or uncertainty often leads to additional suffering. In an open, non-judgmental setting, we work together on solutions that suit your individual needs. Your well-being and self-determination are always at the center.
Behavioral addictions
Addictive behavior such as excessive shopping, gambling, or media consumption often arises as a coping strategy for distressing emotions, stress, or inner emptiness. Those affected frequently experience guilt, loss of control, and social isolation. Together we look for healthier alternatives that do you good in the long term, and we work on the causes of the addictive behavior – solution-oriented and without blame.
Substance-related addictions
Exiting a dependence on alcohol, medication, or other substances is a major step that requires courage and support. Physical withdrawal symptoms, fear of relapse, and social consequences can make the process more difficult. I accompany you in preventing relapses, building a fulfilling life without substances, and addressing the underlying causes of the dependence – at your pace and with respect for your situation.
Other disorder profiles
Every person is unique – and so are psychological challenges. If your concern is not explicitly listed here, that does not mean I cannot support you. I work with a broad spectrum of psychological issues and difficulties. We can clarify together whether and how my approach suits your needs. Often, it only emerges in conversation which approach is right for you.
Therapeutic approaches
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
As a behavioral therapist, my approach lies in behavioral change and regulation. Together we develop concrete strategies to identify and change distressing thought and behavior patterns. Your individual goals and needs are at the center.
Schema therapy approaches
Schema therapy helps identify deeply rooted beliefs and patterns that originated in childhood. Through this work, long-term changes in relationships and self-perception can be achieved. I integrate schema-therapeutic elements particularly for chronic or recurring problems.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT aims to increase psychological flexibility by learning to accept unpleasant thoughts and feelings. At the same time, we work on aligning your actions with your personal values. This creates more freedom and quality of life, even with persistent challenges.
Mindfulness-based methods (PMR, guided imagery, MBSR)
Mindfulness helps to perceive the present moment consciously and without judgment. Methods such as Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR), guided imagery, or MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) help reduce stress and find inner calm. These approaches can be particularly effective for anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders.
Cognitive and metacognitive methods (CBT, MCT)
These methods focus on changing dysfunctional thought patterns and developing metacognitions – that is, thinking about thinking. You learn to question distressing thoughts and replace them with more constructive ones. These methods are particularly effective for rumination tendencies or negative thought spirals.
Parts work and chair work
This approach is about recognizing different inner parts of the personality and bringing them into dialogue. Through techniques such as chair work, inner conflicts can become visible and resolvable. This fosters a better understanding of yourself and your own motivations.
