Couples therapy and counseling

Support for couples with relationship questions, communication difficulties, and other partnership topics. The focus is on strengthening the quality of the relationship and resolving conflicts. Sessions on a shared laptop or from different locations.

When is couples therapy helpful?

Couples therapy can be helpful when you are stuck as a couple — for example with recurring conflicts, communication problems, loss of trust, after significant experiences, or when you want to make a decision together and need support. Couples therapy can also help when one partner has a psychological burden, to manage it together. Couples therapy does not mean the relationship is failing — on the contrary: seeking support is a sign of responsibility for each other.

Process

In a first session, we look together at what is on your minds and what goals you would like. We then work on your topics — using methods from cognitive behavioral therapy, schema therapy, and couples research. Sessions take place online, either on a shared laptop or from different locations. We determine the frequency together.

Online couples therapy

Online couples therapy has the advantage that you can be in your own environment. If you are in different locations, we coordinate the session so that all participants are clearly seen and heard. Technically, you only need a computer or tablet with a stable internet connection, webcam, and microphone.
